What is it with him? Roids? Injuries? Or Age?

I think it may be a combination - I don't know that he's a cheater.

I don't think he's a cheater too but if you look at his stats in the beginning of his career something kinda fishy.

Oh man I'm sure glad I didn't draft him.  Why such a huge drop off?  It's like all or nothing.

It's hard to call any of these guys cheaters, since they all were cheating.  Canseco originally said 80% of players were using.  That figure sounds outrageous until you hear that he revised that figure to 95%!

Everyone was doing it, lets leave A-Rod, Barry, Manny, and Ortiz alone.

Papi's getting old.  The steroid era has made many of us think ballplayers can play into their mid and late 30's with tons of success.  We will start to see a ton of ballplayers regressing during their later years, as they should.

Dude's really not that old to be breaking down like this.  Some loss is normal, but plenty of great hitters didn't fall off the cliff until they hit 40, or closer to it than he is.

Looks like roids to me.

i love ortiz. hes a great dude, a nice person all around. but lets be honest - he lost his edge when he stopped juicing. theres no way his skills could have diminished this quickly if steroids wasnt a factor. sad but true. mercury insurance quotes
