Beltre will probably get traded because he will probably have a monster season this year. He is in a contract year, and I'm sure the Mariners remember what happened the last time he was in a contract year because they signed him immediately after.  Smiley

With Beltre looking for a 4/40 deal, I think it is going to take quite a bit of time before he signs.  I don't know how any team could pay that, given the economic situation and the fact that neither the Yankees or Mets need a 3B.

beltre seems to be on a downward spiral. He really had talent back when he palyed for LA but his stock is much lower now, and I can't see anyone taking on a contract that large for a player of his caliber (or lack of)
