Teixeira Makes Debut With the Braves
Thursday, August 2nd, 2007In my last post I expressed my disappointment about the Braves trading Jarrod Saltalamacchia to the Texas Rangers for Mark Teixeira. Well, tonight is Teixeira’s debut as firstbaseman for the Brave’s and what a great debut it’s been. Mark walked in the first inning with the bases loaded and brought in Yunel Escobar. In the sixth inning Teixeira cranked a home run with Edgar Renteria and Chipper Jones on base giving him 3 RBI’s for his third at bat as an Atlanta Brave. Pretty good way to start his career with the Braves !!!
