Tony La Russa Pleads Guilty to DUI (Video)
Thursday, November 29th, 2007St. Louis Cardinals manager Tony La Russa pleaded guilty to a drunk driving charge in Florida on Wednesday. The case stems from La Russa’s arrest in March 2007, during Spring Training when the Card’s skipper was found asleep in a drunken stupor at the wheel of his SUV.
According to multiple reports, La Russa will serve six months probation and perform 50 hours of community service, pay a fine and attend a DUI school. He was arrested March 22 in Jupiter, Fla. Police have released the arrest video which you can watch below. La Russa is so hammered he can’t even recite the alphabet.
Florida Marlin’s troubed 23 year old pitcher Scott Olsen’s troubles just took a turn for the worse Friday night following a 10-2 win over the Cincinnati Reds when he was arrested for a DUI. Olsen was booked into the Miami Dade county jail on charges of driving under the influence, resisting an officer with violence and fleeing and eluding a police officer. That was after he was stun gunned by the arresting officers he tried to resist.
