Hot Fantasy Baseball Picks for July
Here’s a trio of starting pitchers who are absolutely hot in the Fantasy Baseball world. If any of these guys are still available in your league, they come highy recommended as it appears they are just heating up as the season wears on.
Yovani Gallardo - Milwaukee Brewers starting pitcher who threw six shutout innings in the team’s 10-1 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks Thursday, July 19.
Fausto Carmona - Cleveland Indians starting pitcher who has been on fire since the All Star break. Overall 11-4 with a 3.77 ERA.
Sergio Mitre - Florida Marlins starting pitcher who is 4-4 with a 2.81 ERA and 58 strikeouts despite the Marlins miserable offense.
On the other side of the fence, these pitchers seem to have lost their game and are among the most dropped in Fantasy Leagues.
Ervin Santana - The Los Angeles Angels starting pitcher has given up 21 earned runs in 14 innings pitched in July with an overall 5-11 record and a 6.22 ERA, Santana is amongst the most dropped fantasy pitchers.
Dontrelle Willis - The D-Train has been struggling miserably since the All Star game giving up 14 runs in just six innings pitched in his last two games. Seems like every batter he faces has his trademark slider down and is getting hits off him.
